Disability Comic Con 2026 is Back — and Better Than Ever!

After a well-earned break since our last event in 2024, Disability Comic Con is returning to Houston on Saturday, October 17, 2026. Mark your calendars: the fun runs from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the fantastic Bad Astronaut Brewing Co. (1519 Fulton Street, Houston, TX).
We learned a lot from our 2024 event at the Holiday Inn in Willowbrook, and we’re putting those lessons to work. This year, we’ve made big changes to create an even more welcoming, accessible, and enjoyable experience for everyone.
Why the New Location Rocks
Accessibility was our top priority. At Bad Astronaut Brewing, every guest will have easy ramp access to fully enjoy the space.

A huge, fun area with pool tables, basketball, shooting games, and more
Flexible room dividers so attendees can step away for a quiet break if needed (thumbs up for that!)
The atmosphere feels relaxed and inclusive — perfect for a pop culture celebration that truly welcomes everyone.
Who We’re Looking For: Vendors, Artists, and More
We’re opening the doors wide to local small businesses, larger organizations, and individuals who support the disability community. Whether you create art, sell products, provide disability services, cosplay, speak, write comics, or bring any other talent to the table — we want you!
This is your chance to connect with an enthusiastic crowd that celebrates fandom, creativity, and inclusion.
Lower Ticket Prices — With Real Impact
Every dollar from those tickets supports Chrysalis Spectrum Foundation, our 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Our mission is to help people with visible or physical disabilities attend the events they love — whether it’s comic conventions, concerts, conferences, or other adventures — by covering tickets and providing a companion for support.
If you or someone you know needs assistance attending an event, visit the Chrysalis Spectrum Foundation website, fill out the events stipend form, and we’ll review it. We’ll also connect qualified applicants with companion services.

Special Guests and More Fun
We’re lining up some fantastic special guests, including comic book writers, comedians who have appeared on popular podcasts with millions of views, and many more surprises.
There’s another big comic convention happening the same day, but we hope Disability Comic Con is your first stop. We’ll even have vouchers available to help with tickets to that other event!
