Disability Comic Con Houston 2026: Celebrating Inclusion, Cosplay & Pop Culture
The Second Annual Disability Comic Con Houston 2026 brought together superheroes, cosplayers, artists, entrepreneurs, entertainers, and disability advocates for an unforgettable celebration of inclusion and creativity at Bad Astronaut Brewery in Houston, Texas. Hosted by Dr. Alisa Elliot, also known as Coffee the Cosplayer, Disability Comic Con creates an inclusive space where individuals of all abilities can experience the excitement of comic books, cosplay, gaming, entertainment, and pop culture.
This year's convention featured inspiring guest speakers, including Lupie Lotus, Dawn Revell founder of Heroes N More, comic book author Kerry Smith, and voice actor Nia Celeste. Attendees also heard from viral social media personalities Tre Nubb and Steffni Randle, who shared their experiences with content creation, entrepreneurship, and building successful online communities.
Entertainment included DJ Cowboy Red, comedians Yehee and Emilie Erickson, and incredible character appearances from Heroes N More and Raptor Medics. A cosplay contest showcased the creativity and talent of participants, with a $150 cash prize awarded for an outstanding costume and character performance.
Beyond entertainment, Disability Comic Con highlights the importance of disability representation, accessibility, and inclusive opportunities within the pop culture industry. Local artists and vendors, including entrepreneurs within the disability community, showcased handmade merchandise, comic books, collectibles, artwork, and unique pop culture creations.
Disability Comic Con is more than a convention. It is a community-driven movement dedicated to celebrating different abilities, encouraging creative expression, supporting small businesses, and creating opportunities for meaningful connections. As the event continues to grow, its mission remains clear: everyone deserves a place in fandom, entertainment, and creative communities.
Join us as we continue building a more inclusive pop culture experience in Houston and beyond. Because fandom has no limitations, and inclusion is everyone's superpower!
