Welcome to DCC

Disability Comic Con is a first of its kind dedicated to celebrating people with invisible and visible disabilities. What started as a way to celebrate pop culture in an intimate setting was first thought about by the founder, Dr. Alisa Elliot. The founder saw a need to recreate the design of cons to make it easily accessible to those who want to attend.

Houston has several cons throughout the year that have grown to astronomical spaces where people from all over the nation attend. Going to a con is a great experience however it can be exhausting for those who need accommodations. At Disability Comic Con our goal is to create an inclusive experience for people with disabilities where they can get the benefit of a large con.
