CELEBRATING COSPLAY & COMMUNITY FOR ALL!
Tracy Lynn Cruz, the Yellow Turbo Ranger, gave a heartfelt and personal presentation about her life as a Power Ranger and raising children on the spectrum. Disability cosplay advocates shared their expertise in airbrush painting, costume design, wig styling, body acceptance, and stage performance. The event featured a cosplay competition where everyone was celebrated, but the craftsmanship category winner was Blade, Khallid Greene, a retired first responder. Despite some hiccups, like the lack of space, DCC founder Dr. Alisa Elliot sees this as a lesson. She plans to expand, diversify the team, and maintain a safe space to celebrate and appreciate individuals with visible and invisible disabilities, along with their supporters and friends.
